Connected to production and stock
When equipment is linked to a work centre, planned maintenance shows up against production capacity, so planners do not schedule a job on a machine that is down for service.
Spare parts are ordinary inventory products, so reorder rules keep critical spares in stock and their consumption is costed correctly.

Can Odoo Maintenance schedule by machine hours instead of dates?
Standard preventive maintenance is calendar-based. Usage-based triggers, such as hours or cycles, can be added with a small customisation that reads counters from the machine or operator input.
Is Odoo Maintenance available in Community?
A Maintenance app has been available in Community, with some features such as work-centre integration depending on edition. We confirm what your version includes.
Can we track maintenance for vehicles too?
Yes. Vehicles can be equipment in Maintenance, and Odoo's Fleet app can be used alongside for contracts and fuel logs.
