CRM that does not stop at 'closed won'

Most CRM implementations stop at the deal. Then someone retypes the order into the ERP, operations discovers missing information, and finance invoices from a third source.

04 — Technical notes

Design decisions worth getting right

If you keep an external CRM such as Salesforce or HubSpot, define data ownership carefully: CRM owns opportunities and contacts, ERP owns products, prices, orders and invoices.

Duplicate customer records are the most common CRM data problem. Matching rules and merge tools should be in place before importing historical data.
