Microsoft 365 and your ERP, working as one workplace

For Microsoft-centric businesses, people live in Outlook and Teams. The ERP should meet them there: single sign-on, emails logged against customers, approvals in Teams, documents in SharePoint.

Overview

What this integration is for

We integrate the ERP with Microsoft 365 through Microsoft Graph and Entra ID.

02Use cases

Common use cases

01

Single sign-on

One identity, centrally managed access.

02

Approvals in Teams

Purchase or discount approvals actioned from Teams.

03

Document storage

Contracts and drawings in SharePoint, linked to ERP.

03 — Architecture

API architecture

An Entra ID app registration provides OAuth for Graph API access. SSO uses OpenID Connect. Graph change notifications (webhooks) inform the ERP of calendar or file changes.

Teams notifications are posted through Graph or incoming webhooks with adaptive cards for approvals.

04Reliability

Authentication, errors and retries

01

Authentication

Entra ID app registration with delegated or application permissions scoped to what's needed; admin consent recorded. Secrets or certificates rotated.

02

Error handling

Expired subscriptions, permission errors and throttling are detected and logged; subscriptions renewed automatically.

03

Retry strategy

Throttled requests retried using Graph's retry-after guidance.

05 — Data mapping
