Odoo Amazon Integration: Orders, Stock and FBA
How to connect Amazon Seller Central to Odoo: order import, stock sync, FBA vs FBM, fees and settlement reconciliation, and multi-marketplace selling.
Selling on Amazon adds orders, fees and stock locations you do not control. Connecting Amazon to Odoo keeps stock accurate and makes payouts reconcilable.
FBA vs FBM
- Fulfilled by Merchant (FBM): you ship from your warehouse. Orders come into Odoo and are picked like any other order.
- Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA): Amazon ships from its warehouses. You send stock to Amazon, and sales reduce Amazon's stock, not yours.
Many sellers use both. Odoo needs to handle each correctly.
Order import
Amazon orders are imported into Odoo as sales orders, typically under a marketplace customer or with the buyer's shipping details. FBM orders create deliveries. FBA orders are recorded for revenue and stock but delivered by Amazon.
Stock sync
For FBM, Odoo sends available stock to Amazon so you do not oversell. Keep a buffer for fast movers and sync regularly.
For FBA, create a dedicated warehouse in Odoo. Shipments to Amazon are transfers to that warehouse, and FBA sales reduce it. Reconcile against Amazon's inventory reports monthly.
Fees and settlements
Amazon pays out net of referral fees, FBA fees, advertising and refunds. Import settlement reports and post:
- Sales and refunds
- Each fee type to its own expense account
- The net payout to a clearing account, matched to the bank deposit
This is the part most sellers get wrong. Without it, Amazon revenue and margins in Odoo are not reliable.
Multi-marketplace
If you sell on several Amazon marketplaces, set up currency, taxes and price lists per marketplace. VAT and sales tax rules differ by country.
Connector options
Odoo's own connector offering varies by version, and third-party connectors are available. Check SP-API support, FBA handling and settlement import before choosing.
Checklist
- Decide FBA, FBM or both.
- Create the FBA warehouse.
- Map fee types to accounts.
- Test an order, a refund and a settlement.
- Set up sync monitoring.

Frequently asked questions
Can Odoo track stock held in Amazon FBA warehouses?
Yes. A common approach is a separate Odoo warehouse for FBA stock, updated from Amazon's inventory reports.
How are Amazon fees recorded in Odoo?
Fees from Amazon settlement reports are posted to expense accounts so the payout reconciles with sales and the bank statement.
