Recent Odoo versions include some AI-assisted features of their own. Beyond those, most of the useful AI work in an Odoo system comes from connecting large language models to specific, repetitive tasks: reading supplier invoices, classifying incoming emails, drafting replies from order history, or answering questions about stock and sales.

Architecture and controls
AI calls run in a separate service or queued Odoo jobs, never inline with a user saving a record. Prompts and responses are logged against the Odoo record they relate to. Access respects Odoo's own access rights and record rules, so the assistant cannot see data the user could not see.
We choose the model provider with you based on data residency, cost and accuracy on your documents, and we test extraction accuracy on a sample of real documents before rolling anything out.

Will AI post entries in Odoo automatically?
Only if you decide it should, and only for low-risk cases you define. By default, AI output creates drafts or suggestions that a user reviews and confirms.
Is our data used to train AI models?
We configure providers and plans that do not use API data for training, and we document where data is processed. Requirements vary by provider, so we confirm this as part of design.
Do we need clean data first?
Yes. AI matching against a product catalogue full of duplicates, or vendors with inconsistent names, produces poor results. Data cleansing is often the first step of an AI project.
