Every ERPNext document is available through the Frappe REST API, and webhooks can push changes out as they happen. That makes ERPNext straightforward to connect — and makes it equally easy to build a fragile integration that silently drops orders.
Overview
The short version
We design integrations with clear ownership of each piece of data, idempotent processing, retries, logs you can read and alerts when something fails. Connectors run as background jobs inside a custom app or as a small external service, whichever suits the volume and risk.

Existing connectors versus custom builds
Community and Frappe-maintained connectors exist for some platforms, such as the eCommerce Integrations app for Shopify. Before using one we check how actively it is maintained, which ERPNext versions it supports, and whether its data model matches your process.
Where a connector fits, we configure and harden it. Where it does not, we build a focused integration in your custom app rather than forking someone else's code.

Yes. Frappe exposes REST endpoints for every DocType plus custom whitelisted methods, with token or OAuth authentication. Webhooks can call external URLs on document events.
Can ERPNext sync with Shopify?
Yes, through the eCommerce Integrations app or a custom connector. Typical scope covers products, inventory levels, orders, customers and fulfilment status.
What happens when an integration fails?
Our integrations log every request, retry transient failures, and raise an alert for anything that needs a person. Nothing should fail silently.
